BLUEREEF 87: Living space equalling superyachts

Wet deck: saloon and owner suite
From the cockpit, there is direct access to a spacious saloon with an L-shaped sofa and two cocktail tables with two pouffes facing a locker housing a state-of-the-art audio-video home cinema system with a 40' LCD screen. This space is directly connected to the dining room with a large table for 8/10 guests and a dumbwaiter elevator linked with the galley. In addition, there is a small bar with icemaker and fridge located here. In the forward on the port side, there is a small kitchenette equipped with a sink, microwaves, fridge and coffee machine, which makes easy daylong serving of nibbles, snacks and drinks. There are two staircases for the crew leading from here - one to the galley and the crew quarters and the second to the helm station. Side doors lead directly outside, to the front section or to the cockpit. On the starboard towards the bow section, there is a day-use toilet with atrium stairs leading to guest cabins, the helm station and the flybridge. This disconnection of crew/guest access to different living areas secures the best possible intimacy for both parties.

The owner suite is located in the forward section on the main level and has a spectacular 180º view over the sea. This vast suite includes a king size bed, vanity and a dressing room with plenty of storage located down stairs. The spacious bathroom comprises separate toilets and large shower tube with hydro massage. Located between the cabin and the rest of the boat, it ensures effective soundproofing of the owner suite.

Guest cabins below decks
Below decks in the centre are three guest cabins rounding the atrium staircase, which gives lots of luminosity to this area and leads to the main deck and flybridge. All of them are provided with massive horizontal windows located on the hull providing a splendid sea view. The beam wide VIP cabin on the aft is particularly spacious and comfortable. Each cabin features a hi-fi video system and independent en-suite bathroom with separate shower.

Aft on the starboard there is a fully equipped professional galley with cooking equipment and full sized fridge with freezer and dumbwaiter elevator linked to the dining room on the main deck. Opposite are the living quarters of the crew including a crew dining room for 4/6 persons equipped with TV and DVD, laundry room with washing machine and dryer as well as storage space and large freezer enabling food storage during longer crossing periods. The captain quarters with a double bed, bathroom, shower and direct access to the tender garage in the aft are located next to the crew common space.

The forepeak of the forward section houses a second crew cabin with bunk beds. It is equipped with bathroom, shower, and a small office and can be accessible from the main deck via a glass hatch.

Helm Station
The mezzanine floor featuring the helm station can be accessed via two distinctive stairs, one on the starboard reserved for guests, the second on the port side set aside for crew. With a stunning 360º view over the sea, the helm station is luminous, spacious and ergonomic. It comprises all the necessary navigation and communication equipment. Guests can enjoy the view from two co-pilot seats or settled comfortably in a cozy lounge by the helm station. The massive flybridge is located only a couple of steps up from here.

Flybridge
Another major innovation in the Blue Reef 87 is that the flybridge occupies the same area as the wet deck on the sides and on the aft. Providing shade to the cockpit, among others, this place also gives significant living space for guests which can be accessed from the helm station or the cockpit. From the forward to the back section there is a secondary helm station with a double seat, spacious dining area for 10 guests facing a wet bar with fridge, sink, barbecue or plancha. Further back, there is another leisure area with double jacuzzi, external shower and two large sun pads.

Cockpit
The impressive surface area of the cockpit may be a surprise considering the size of the yacht. There is a possibility of setting the external saloon for 10 guests for al fresco dining or simply enjoying sweet far niente on the leisure chairs. On the starboard there is stair access to the flybridge and to a storage locker on the port side housing a wet bar with barbecue and fridge. The third additional helm station is based here to facilitate all mooring manoeuvres. Two symmetrical stairs lead down to the aft platform, which is the recreational area for diving, snorkelling, fishing and swimming. The platform gives access to the tender garage opening via a hydraulic control system. The garage is designed to fit a 5m long motor tender powered by a diesel engine which will can serve as an escapade fast boat. The tender can be launched thanks to a partial platform immersion system which can also be used to fix jet skis or a sailing dinghy. Inside the garage on the port side, three seabobs are stored. Opposite, there is diving equipment with compressors. To make swimming even more pleasurable, a comfortable ladder with handrails like on swimming pools will be installed, as well as an external shower.

Bow exterior
Exterior on the bow there is another sitting area with a U-shaped sofa and a dining table, ideal for a relaxing aperitif while watching the sunset or simply to enjoy sea cruising with its wonderful sunshine and sea breeze. A ladder leads from here to the sun pad located on the roof of the owner suite. All sun lovers will be delighted with this sunny relaxing spot.
