Shipyard: Quality commitment
In order to ensure the highest quality products to our Customers, which constitutes the main motto of the Sunreef shipyard, the production process has been efficiently organized to limit the participation of possible sub-contractors to an absolute minimum.
The concentration of all the workshops and specialists in one place (starting with the welding and aluminium processing workshop, the composite materials workshop, woodworking shop, grinding shop, paint shop and upholstery shop, and ending with the technical workshop and the materials storage rooms) enables direct and stringent supervision to be effected throughout all the subsequent stages of the production process, which has had a definite impact on work quality and efficiency. The constant supervision and presence of the engineering design office under one roof enables rapid reactions and fast decision making should there be a need to introduce any changes or adjustments at any stage.
This system of work has a significant impact on the yacht completion time and facilitates quality control over each stage of production. In 2009, the shipyard introduced Lean Manufacturing into its structure thereby improving the quality of production at each stage of the process and maximally reducing all material and time losses.
